Day 6 – Self-Worth
For each scenario you will have to write down how you would THINK, FEEL and ACT on impulse. Go with your first decision. There is no right or wrong answer.
Keep in mind that the sequence always flows in this way: Thoughts -> Feelings -> Actions
Some scenarios might begin with a thought, feeling or an action about to take place. You might then have to work backwards or forwards to figure out what the other steps in the sequence are that led to the initial event and how you would react or respond.
Scenario 6 – A long-time friend decided to call you out of the blue. You could hear that something was troubling him. After 30 minutes you have heard everything that he had to say. He’s going through a hard time, but you decide to give him tough love. You tell him to toughen up, suggesting things that will get him back on his feet.
Your friend explodes at you. He tells you that you are being insensitive. You hear the phone being slammed down. You try and call him back. Your number has been blocked and you see you are no longer friends on Facebook.
